Site coordinators continue great work, but positions threatened
Our wonderful site coordinators continue to do great work in all three high schools.
Counselors and teachers are the largest referral source, and are passionately appreciative of the support students receive from the site coordinators.
We have recently established a food pantry at Classic City High School, and site coordinators at all three help students and their families access food, as well as eyeglasses, clothing, tutors, mentors, and much more.
The greatest appreciation comes from the students, with comments like those at a gathering in late October: “I would have dropped out with my site coordinator,” “She believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself,” “He helped my whole family; I don’t know where I’d be without him.”
We will be unable to continue these positions if additional funding is not found.
We will shortly launch a fund campaign to save the site coordinators.
Please donate today! And pledge a monthly donation to sustain this work that is having spectacular success!
